Exhibitions

Relicva mounts exhibitions the way a great gallery hangs its walls — slowly, argumentatively, and with an eye for the single object that changes the room. Each show gathers works from our own departments and partner archives into a sustained reading of the ancient world, free to enter and open at any hour.

Three exhibitions are currently installed across our virtual galleries. Each runs as a long-form essay in objects, with extended labels, comparative material and a curatorial throughline you can follow from the first vitrine to the last.

Curatorial note
An exhibition is not a list of objects. It is a sentence, and every vitrine is a word.
— Dr Helena Marsh, Head of Exhibitions

Closed shows remain part of the museum. Their object lists, wall texts and accompanying essays stay online indefinitely, an archive you can revisit as readily as anything currently on the walls.
